Update!

Third term school holiday season and it is a season for another Samoan tradition: White Sunday! I know this has NOTHING to do with the homework blog but it is a bit meaningful in that I am trying to plan my study time around practises for this day, and I am going to strive to no longer use CAPITALS in my blog because apparently a lady close to home (Auckland) got fired for doing so in a notice...haha

Anyway, thank you especially to Mr Henry who pointed out the second half of his history slideshow which I know will be a gem, once I actually look at it :)

The post below was a link to a resource which shows differentiation from first principles. I know that it is only a question at Achieved Level in Calculus Level 3 (Differentiation) but hey, if we don't get Achieved right we will not be able to get further. Also there are many resources available if one searches this site so go for gold!

I cannot begin to stress enough how useful the website www.studyit.org.nz is and has been for me this year. Not only for questions to do with school but also with questions about universities and different courses and the different universitites as well as info on study halls and the like. Check it out today!

Also for those of us who are looking for websites for film study or just to watch whilst on a SHORT break (oh no just used capitals again) there are two very helpful sites: www.freemoviesland.com and www.watch-movies-links.net/ and the best part is that they are FREE!!!!

Well, I am off to continue my calculus revision and I hope that all of those who are students and come across my blog are studying hard!!!

NCEA Exams as of today (29/09/2009) are 48 days away, just what you needed to know right?!?!!?

Keep those heads held up high but also find the time to make them bend very low and study!!!

God Bless y'all
-until next time...

Crunch Time!

So it's that time of the year again where the parable about hardworking people reaping good rewards due to their hard work comes around again and bites all of us who do not work quite so hard in the a**! (Yeah that's right I don't swear, got a problem with it?)

Well, last week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday was pre-judgement day for this year. Mock exams double ups on Wednesday and Thursday and a morning exam on Friday was just what I needed to wake me up from my fairytale land which I had been living in since the summer holidays of the previous year (starting for us in November). During the exams (especially Calculus and Statistics and Modelling) I experienced an epiphany!!! I realised that I actually needed to study harder to get the results that I wanted and needed in order to get where I want to be next year in university (LLB/BCOM conjoint at Auckland University)

Therefore, I have taken to packing my bag filled with textbooks and making my yearly visit to Whitcoulls for my textbook/study guide stock up (I swear my family helps that store make hundreds of dollars every year what with the amount of us!!! ^^)

I have also extended my search for resources to looking for a tutor (that's you Calculus and Statistics and Modelling geniuses out there!!!) and internet resources. I discovered a wonderful website specific to us NCEA people (www.studyit.org.nz) last year and it is seriously amazing it helped me a lot with essay writing and things. I have also recently discovered Brightstorm (www.brightstorm.com) which is a website that gives online video tutorials in math especially for..... (wait for it!) FREE!!!! Isn't that just awesome!! Seriuosly guys so many resources out there and thanks to the development of technology and globalisation it is literally in our back yards!!!!

God bless y'all and Peace 2 the Out
